Spiderveins

Does anyone else (girls particularly) have small red/ blue/ purple veins on their legs? ive recently begun noticing quite a few on my thighs. at uni i played hockey and did circuits and went out alot, but at home I've done nothing really which might be a factor, but being 19 with these is very depressing... anyone else have them or know of any solutions? obviously being more active would be one...

I have one on my calf... I never thought it was a problem.. ask your doc if you are worried?

They're not really a problem they're just a cosmetic thing. I have loads all over my legs and they're getting worse! Argh! Nightmare! I'm also only 19.

Things that can make them worse: obesity, lack of exercise, crossing legs, increased levels of oestrogen (being on the pill), long periods of sitting, long periods of standing, injury (e.g. bruising on your legs I think).

I would suggest trying not to worry about them, not wearing really short skirts and getting them lasered out when you have the money if they bother you.

I have them :frown: Unfortunately my mom and aunts, their mom, etc... had them. So it's fairly inevitable I'd get them. I'm incredibly paranoid about them but I don't have that many and really you can only see them close up. However I haven't crossed my legs since a few weeks ago when I heard that could aggrevate them :p: I didn't know the pill was one of the causes though, I've been on it for ages, maybe I'll come off it :s-smilie:

Either way OP, I think the point is that as horrible as they are, they're very common, just like stretch marks, cellulite and wonky boobs :p:

Try skin doctor vein away plus cream. It works for me but you have to be fairly patient, about 6 weeks.Just use it once a day.
