Scroll down and it will tell you how to get you ISS username (your university computing account).

Hey for some reason i cannot get into sussed (maybe im being stupid here). It says it does not recognise my password but i can get into everything else!!!. Whats going on??

Have you tried just the first part of you email adress?

Thats the mistake I made 1st of all ;judge;

Check that you're using your user name rather than your email address.

for example, xyz107 in the top box rather than [email protected]

ok

it should work - try contacting [email protected] (with all your details)

edit: and DON'T leave your email address on TSR - you'll get a LOT of spam and a few people have had email accounts hacked into

you should be able to access your emails without going through sussed

ecs stuff is [email protected] and it's possible they're not mimicking the ISS usernames now that ISS have started adding in random letters (although when I had one of their addresses we had to use pine to access them :eek:

)

I can get into my webmail, but it doesnt show any emails (ive sent some to the address to check, but they dont show :frown:

I tried to login on ecs using that format but it didnt work, so you're probably right about them not mimicking the ISS usernames :frown:

Also a lot of the time it takes a day for updates to pass from one database to another so don't worry too much. It might be that sussed isn't working off the same database of users as subscribe does...same for ECS in which case it should all update overnight.

(oh and our email system is CRAP at the moment - I got over 100 spam mails over the weekend and it's taking ages for anything to get through because accommodation are emailling out their offers and jamming things up.

Try www.outlook.soton.ac.uk, it says on there for the 06 students to use that site - so I'm assuming the same for 07?

The Chinese soc inbox is exactly the same with spam - I started getting fed up of deleting 6 pages of spam a day :eek:

Managed to find the spam filter settings on Subscribe and I *think* it works :biggrin:
