Hi guys. I applied for the Civil Service Fast Stream (generalist/diplomatic service) in 2015/16. Usual story, I got to the assessment center and did ok but didn't quite make it.
A few weeks ago I was contacted by the Direct Appointment Scheme... I filled in a ton of references/CRB checks... (I was led to expect to be contacted regarding a 'chat'/informal interview... but now I have been offered a job with HMRC as a 'Financial Analyst' in the Government Banking Service. The only job role info is contained in 6 brief bullet points.
I AM NOT a statistician nor do I have a particularly strong mathematical background (I studied International Relations/Political Science BA/MSc).But saying that, I haven't fabricated or lied about anything on my CV etc, they contacted me. Is anyone else in a similar situation??
