I got terminated from University for poor academic performance. I made a mistake doing that. Now, I want to continue what I have studied at another University as I have already started at another university, I want to finish it with a degree. I am applying through UCAS as an international student. How should I write my personal statement? I have not written one before as the University I studied at did not require me to write one. Should I talk about my reason for wanting to continue the course? why do I want to study in the UK? And what will make you think you will pass the course at our university?

Depending on the university, you want to show a genuine interest for your course ensuring you include any relevant experience you have in that field. You do want to show the university why you would be suitable for a place on the course however do not write this referring to one particular university, unless you are applying to only one. Have a small-section on academically related extra-curricular to show you are a well-rounded person, however, do not include pointless hobbies which do not relate to your course.

    Best wishes.
