I am doing GCSE now and in the process of choosing the subjects for A level. Is there any UK university which requires A-level Economics as a mandatory subject for Economics degree application? I would like study Economics at one of the top unversity, (hoping!). My class teacher says I would need it for the top universities. If I can drop it I would have a choice to take another subject like Chemistry which I also enjoy. It will offer broder choices in case if I change my mind later during the A level study. I am hoping to take the following A level subjects- Maths, FM, History and Economics or Chemistry.

    Many thanks for the help.
