What is your opinion on fans who boo their own players? Have you ever booed your own players?
I saw a tweet the other day which has since been deleted from Villa midfielder Aaron Tshibola saying god take me away from the haters.
I will put my hands up I booed a few players from my team last season especially Lescott.

i definitely think its justified. i have booed the team many teams particularly when theyve had a stinker of a first half. if they had put their foot in or showed a bit of desire but till losing then i wouldnt boo, but if they are passing sideways and scared to venture past the halfway line then i will rightly boo them. also, have villa fans been booing tish??

To be honest under those circumstances it's perfectly justified - that car tweet, telling fans to **** off etc.

On the other hand I remember one pre season friendly where Fellaini got booed every time he touched the ball which was completely out of order. Arsenal fans did the same to Eboue and he got subbed off because of it. You can't boo a player just because they're playing badly.

I've booed LVG but never a player who was on my team.

Don't see how it helps the player or your team?

That said it's pretty natural to cuss them out when they **** up or are ****..

No, it's not. If the players haven't put any effort in, they don't deserve to be applauded, but I don't agree with booing. The whole point of being a supporter is to support the team. Booing doesn't achieve anything.

in general I don't think booing is good for anyone
(but some referees really need to go to specsavers )

Of course it is. If you pay your money you can boo or cheer who you want.

    Counter productive though.

If they are sent off for stupidity maybe, at the end of the game if the team has not performed or appeared to make an effort.

Was hard not to boo back in the days of Djourou as first choice CB. Ironically, the most supportive I've ever seen our fans be was during the 8-2.
