I promised my mum I would go to see fantastic beasts with her whilst it's at the cinema but due to the fact it comes out the 18th of November which is the week after my reading week I won't be back home until around the 16th of December. (Christmas break) Do you think it will still be in cinemas after the 16th? I just really want to see this with her because it's one of the few things we have in common and otherwise I will probably have to book a trip home in between which will be costly

I would be very surprised if it was in cinemas for less than a month.

Depends how well it does, it should be a popular family movie for this holiday, so I'd expect them to keep it on until after Christmas (though there may be less viewing times, or only large city-based cinemas may keep it over a long period). The only big hitters over the next two months are Fantastic Beasts, Rogue One and maybe Moana?

Relax, it will still be out in December. It's the Harry Potter universe FFS - guaranteed to do well enough to keep it in the cinemas for up to 2 months, maybe even longer.

Depends on the cinema i guess.

If it's a main chain cinema then it should be fine, as they'll have multiple screens and will definitely have Fantastic Beasts showing for more than a month, even if it is only once a day eventually. The Cineworld near me is still showing 'The Girl on the Train' even though it came out on October 5th!

However, if it's a smaller / independent cinema that you would be going to, then it will depend on that particular venue.

Yeah, I would think it'll still be showing then. I'd be surprised if it wasn't

Depends on how popular it turns out to be; it could knock it out of the park and stay in for as long as The Force Awakens (my cinema still shows it nearly every Saturday) or it could lose screens like crazy when Moana and Star Wars devour the 3D and IMAX screens while the smaller screens are eaten up by smaller movies like Collateral Beauty.
