I just wanted to know if I apply for a course that says you need a B in GCSE maths and I got a C would there be a chance that I could get in or would they stop me at the first stage of applying?

There's always a bit of leeway, but you have to make a case for why they should allow it. Also remember that you're competing against applicants that don't want this leeway as they have higher grades.

Universities tend to be stricter with their GCSE requirements. But call them and ask.

You will have to ask them. It would have been better if you had a B.

I know people who applied for courses that wanted a B in maths but they had a C and the university told them to resit maths and changed there course in this case changed from economics to business and IT
