Hi, i just wanted to know how tough further maths is in A-level because, in the syllabus, it says that you need to know both the statistics and mechanics sections of pure math, is it really manageable?

You don't need to do both statistics and mechanics. The modules you study depend on what your school decide. If you really enjoy maths and are comfortable with it, you will enjoy further maths.

It takes a lot of work and time, though that's not too much of a problem if you love maths! Just don't give up so easily on it, you need to be dedicated. I'm currently doing it at A2 and found it hard to begin with, but towards the end of the year (and after lots of practise) it all started to click together!

The school choose your modules (I did FP1, D2 and M1 in FM last year & FP2, S2 and M2 this year). You don't need to know everything as there is M3 and M4 on my exam board (which we're not doing), but it's highly likely that you'll do at least some stats/mechanics - there's only 2 decision modules, C1-4 & 4 Further pure modules (modules available other than stats or mechanics). That's 10 in total, and you need to do 12 in total at A2 for both maths and FM - which means 2 modules left for any combination of mechanics and/or stats. I hope I made sense then; sorry, I'm so bad at explaining things!
