Hey guys I'm wanting your advice if that's alright. So I've started AS level and doing four subjects, and i enjoy 3 of them but one of then which is classical civilization im not really enjoying. My essay marks are graded at U and i don't find it that interesting or anything. Its making me feel real depressed as I've wasted my 4th choice what can i do?? I can't drop it or change it unfortunately. Should i still try my best in it?? I'm really sad and annoyed about it so any help is appreciated,

    Thank you

Do you think you could pass it without harming the grades in your other subjects? If not drop it now and focus on your 3 other subjects.

Try your best with it and ultimately drop it at the end of the AS year if you get below a C or B then you dont't have to put it on your CV in the future cu

Why are you not allowed to drop it? Will you need that subject for uni/future plans?

Honestly i don't know, it's getting me down as i feel like I've wasted a AS level. And we aren't allowed to drop a subject, they said they don't allow us to. May i ask but do you know if getting an E in classics will affect my chances of getting a good job etc?

As long as it's not relevant to the job you want to do, then it shouldnt do much harm in getting a job, dont worry about it too much

Dont add it to your CV if its your 4th option however if its your 3rd then you will have to

Normally not a good idea doing 4. But you should be allowed to drop it if it is causing you problems. Why can't you drop it? Speak to the person in charge and tell them exactly how it is affecting you. It is better to get 3 decent grades and focus on them properly.
