How do I end this 'friends with benefits'? watch

I started talking to one of my friends after a year of no contact and we grew quite close over summer. At the end of summer we ended up making out. Then everytime we hung out we'd end up making out. I went along with it because I thought this was going to lead to relationship. Then I moved colleges which is the same college as him. We hang out every day and are quite close. Then at his Halloween party we got caught making out by friends(who lectured us about how we aren't even in a relationship). At that point I thought we'd get together. The next morning we pretty much cuddled for hours and stuff. Then at college he held my hand a bunch. Then the next Friday we was on the beach with friends and he kissed me under a blanket and people saw. It was the same at college this week. We hung out after college today for hours he held my hand for a bit. I really like him, I've liked him for months. I've had friends tell me that he seems like he likes me, but we don't talk about what's been going on. It's tearing me apart, I feel like I'm being used. What do I do? I'm too nervous I'll hurt him(he was hurt in his previous relationship).

Perhaps you could suggest going out on a date?

Just break the advice and avoid the drama by talking to him and as sean said just ask him on a date. he ietehr seems too shy, lazy or clueless, but tbh either side can ask the other on a date.

You use this "friends with benefits" phrase, it doesn't mean what you think it means.
