Or, not ALWAYS relevant I should say...

Hi all, just wanted to post about my experience - for any prospective mature students who may be worrying about entry requirements...

I am 43. I have 4 grade A-C GSCEs, no A Levels. I completed a HND in 2000 (also as a mature student) - entry accepted on interview, not qualifications.

I started my full-time degree course 7 weeks ago (where has THAT time gone already???). I applied through UCAS as per normal, listing my GCSE and HND grades. Now, I changed my first name along with my surname when I got married 5 years ago, so all of my qualifications are in a completely different name. I have not been asked to provide any evidence of those qualifications. I was not asked to attend for an interview.

So, don't let any lack of previous qualifications put you off - universities LIKE to have mature students on board! If you're thinking about applying, I say go for it :-)
