    Hi,

I'm interested in studying mechanical engineering in the UK. I am very enthusiastic about maths and physics and I also swim competitively. I am already applying to Bath, Loughborough, Nottingham, and Glasgow. I'm not really sure about my last option though. My predicted grades are A*AAB. Any ideas? Thanks.

Lancaster would be a decent shout. Well ranked and the entry requirements should be easily achievable for you.

Make sure that you have chosen a range of grade requirements . The usual advice is : 1 choice above your predicted grades, 2/3 at your predicted grades, 1/2 below your predicted grades. This gives you a) the best chance of a good number of offers, b) at least one obvious Insurance choice.

PS. Look at Bristol - especially for Mechanical or Aerospace.

Cheers, I'll check them out. I've also been looking at Strathclyde, which I've heard is really good for mech eng

As said Bristol is worth a look although generally people would apply to either Bath or Bristol rather than both. Sheffield, Manchester and Southampton would also be worth looking at.
