I achieved a grade B in the June 2016 series, which I was quite unhappy with, and so resat it last week, but I feel extremely unconfident, and feel I have got another B, so can I retake Maths again in June? And will that mean I'll be doing the New Spec or not? Would I get a letter grade or a number grade? And will resitting reflect badly on a Uni application? Thanks in advance.

No point resitting it, won't look great on application and as long as you got a C you should be fine.

I was quite disappointed with my GCSE results, so an A in Maths would both boost my confidence, and improve my grades and CV.

It might improve your confidence and CV (minimally) but honestly there's no point resitting. Unless you are planning to work in finance in which case it might slightly improve it but honestly just focus on improving it to an A at A Level.
