I'm currently planning a discursive essay as part of my N5 English SQA assignment, and I've decided to write an argumentative essay on the relevance of poetry in the modern world.

I have to plan for an introduction, eight separate paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, I'm struggling to come up with eight different points that are open enough to amount to a full paragraph each.

I have a couple of ideas (such as poetry studied in schools and by students as part of their often mandatory courses) but some more suggestions (or reference to applicable sources) would be extremely helpful.

    What poems are you doing?
