Recently, I've found some old stuff that I had made in Year 7 when I used to go to 'Science Club' at my old school, and I remembered how fun it was for me back then. We used to do so many fun experiments and made some really cool things.

Now I'm a sixth former in a new school, and as far as I'm aware, there's no such thing as a science club going on, and I was actually thinking of starting one. I thought maybe it would show the new Year 7's that science can be really fun, and hopefully encourage them to carry on studying it in their futures. This may also be beneficial to me as I will show skills such as leadership and commitment, which I'm sure would look good on my CV, right?

What do you think of this idea? Also, how would you suggest I go about doing this? I'm just not sure exactly what my first step would be, how to start it up.

I guess first step would be talking to the science staff? This would look great on your uni application etc though, especially if you're wanting to study science or go into teaching
