    Hiya,

I would like to know what the diferences are between to send the UCAS application as an individual and to send it through the colllege I am currently studying with.

Are there any adventages/disventages doing it in one way or another?

If I already have the UCAS ID number but I have not still send the application, could I change it from "to send as an individual" to "send through college"?

    Many thanks

If your college is doing your reference then it's most likely they'll insist you must apply through them.

There's no great difference in applying through them or as an individual. Unis will think it's strange if your reference isn't from your current school though.

You need to make sure you have the buzzword - this will be a special password used to link your application.

Once you have that, you can phone ucas and they will change it over the phone for you.

You don't even have to phone UCAS- there's an "options" link at the bottom of your links in the left hand-side of the page when you've logged into Apply and you can go through a college/school there. It doesn't let you assign yourself to a group (like some schools have form groups within UCAS) at that stage but I'm sure they'd sort that later.
To do this, you need your buzzword from your school
