# AS Level Further Maths Flow Chart Question! watch

1. Really do not know how to do this question. Tried looking in text book and online but doesn't help! Can anyone walk me through it please? I would really appreciate it!
2. I would say it should be A = A - 10. And the output should be "(x+y) / 10 = B remainder A".

Since, the remainder part can't be greater than the divisor. So if the remainder is greater than 10, you add one to the integer part and minus 10 from the remainer part.
So if x = 67 and y = 4. You'd normally get (67+4) / 10 = 6 remainder 11. But 6 remainder 11 is just 7 remainder 1.

Thanks so much for the help! I completely understand question 1 now! Howevee I cannot understand part 2! Which of these answers would correspond to your explanation?
