I'm thinking of self teaching myself A level history, since it's not an AS level at my college, I'll study it by myself and enter myself for the mocks and then join in the class next year. I'll be getting private tutors but I'm still confused since its 20% coursework. I'd do it in college but obviously it's too late to do it and I'm already doing English language, law and politics. Can anyone give me advice on how to study it by myself and how to enter myself for the exams etc? I'm talking to a history teacher on Monday but any advice is helpful, especially if you've been in the same situation as me. Thanks.

I take History at AS level and I'm confused as to why your school doesn't offer it at AS? because given its a linear course, it should last two years. If I were you, I would ask if you could take it late, I'm sure starting a few months late wouldn't hinder you providing you are committed to catching up, it shouldn't be more work than teaching it yourself.

Yeah you're right, they let me on the course and I'll be starting History this week. 😊
