Where do I meet friends and a boyfriend?

    • Thread Starter

    I am so lonely.
After being in and out of hospital, I literally have 3 friends and my boyfriend of 5 years just left me. I don't know how to find people. I'm pretty isolated at college, but am looking to go to Uni either next year or postpone it for one year.

Will I meet new people? How do I find a boyfriend?
    I sound so sad!

Hi first of all sorry for your current situation. I kind of felt like this throughout my education but it's starting to pick up a bit now. There are a few ways that can help you to meet people such as getting a part-time job, volunteering, joining local clubs & societies activist groups etc. The initial part is the hardest, especially if everyone has their own friendship group it can be hard to fit in, but you have to just put yourself out there, be nice & friendly & try to take in interest in them. After hopefully getting to know them a bit you would invite them out for coffee or something to make it a bit more formal & keep hanging out with them basically. Don't get too caught up in finding a boyfriend just yet, the bigger your social circle is, there more opportunities there will be. However you must put your own effort in. Best of luck!
