I'm doing work experience at my local newspaper and I've written a couple of articles that have been printed but they've been printed under the names of the reporters who actually work there, should I bother cutting them out to put in a portfolio if I'm not in the byline?

If you wrote them then go for it! Why did they give the byline to other people though if you were the person to write them?

I don't really know, people just kind of give me things that they can't be bothered to write so it may just be that they were supposed to do it themselves
