Dutch student's journey to AAA!

    • Thread Starter

Hello everyone Some may or may not now that I just moved from the Netherlands to Leicester, UK and enrolled in year 12 this september. My first two months have been rough, but fun. Have met a lot of wonderful people and have the feeling I am finally getting used to the way they teach her (not that different tho!) and stuff. I hope you might have some tips and will enjoy following my journey through the hardest part of teenagers life!

    My GCSE profile is: 1 A*, 1 A, 2 B, 2 C

My subjects are: History, English Lit & Lang, Geography, Politics

My AS-level target grades are: AABB

My A-level target grades are: AAB/AAA

Why do I want to get AAA? Aside from the simple fact that this is roughly what I need to get into the university I want to do the course I want, I would just be unhappy if I were to get lower grades than at least AAB. They do not seem like very hard grades to get, but as I have dealt with many problems along the road in my secondary school (being placed at far lower level than I actually could handle), I am glad I have the potential to get these grades. For those wondering, I want to do either History or Political Science at university, preferably at Edinburgh or St Andrews, not the least universities.

Well, I definitely know what to do, but this thread and hopefully you guys as well will help me push through hard times and get the grades I am aiming for!

Good luck! Did you move to the UK so you could have a British education or for other reasons?
Which party will you be voting for in the General Election 2017?
