This question is to men who have a girlfriend/partner/wife... I guess if you used to be in a relationship you can also answer

How much did you pay for? 100%? 50/50? a little more than her?

I'm not just talking about dates, I mean living expenses - bills, rent etc

What about if one of youse became unemployed?

    Answers on a postcard.

Now I ain't saying she a gold digger But she ain't messing with no broke ******

im in a relationship and i pay for everything in my house but thats because he lives on a military camp.
the only bill he pays for is the internet/tv/phone (its all connected)
but if im skint, he will lend me money (he never asks for it back but i insist)

It varies. I know married people that still have individual bank accounts and pay 50/50 (or some split decided upon by salary), but I had (only) a joint bank account almost from the start of living with my (now) wife.

IMO, if you're committed to each other, the you should support each other through unemployment periods. However, I've seen couples where that would be a bad idea too.

the only time i lived with a guy, he paid about 80% of everything but that was only because he made about 3x my salary (plus I was doing more housework than him as, at that time, i was only working part time)
