I'm a first year student studying psychology and honestly I feel lost already. I have exams in January and I feel like I only remember about 2% of what I've learnt already. I don't see how I can remember everything from lectures. After lectures I go to the library and write notes and everything but it feels like too much for my brain capacity.

Mnemonics, quiz questions, "visceralisation", experience, mind maps, flash cards, cue cards, rhymes are just a few I can name so far but there are more

What about getting a dictaphone? I have the same problem my memory is awful and I just can't retain much info at all, so I invested in a dictaphone and it's helped me so much, I just listen back to the class each night and write notes without rushing or missing bits. I'm not at university level yet but hopefully next year.
