I am currently taking an A level in Religious studies with Edexcel and plan to take an A level in Philosophy next year (AQA). Because both subjects are somewhat similar would this count as two A levels or only one?

philosophy is completely different to RS. it evaluates different skills and is only offered by AQA, so no, it would count as 2 separate a-levels. philosophy is 'god from a non-believers perspective' but dwells on actual philosophers and theories and does not only study god but metaphysics, epistemology, ethics etc...
