    Trump has come out to say that he still plans to deport 3 million undocumented migrants with criminal records currently living in America, how doable is this ?

    Also is this a lose/lose situation for Trump, the possible net gains are only going to be hypothetical. For example;

    Say he deports 3 million mass murderers, it's not like he can claim to have saved X amount of American lives or saved X in tax revenue by doing so. The only real measurable aspect of this is going to be the cost of rounding up, processing and deportation. Likewise, I find it unlikely that such a mass deportation is possible and the question is by what margin he will fail to achieve his election promise.

    Is there any way for this president to save face on this promise ?

    “What we are going to do is get the people that are criminal and have criminal records, gang members, drug dealers, where a lot of these people, probably 2 million, it could be even 3 million, we are getting them out of our country or we are going to incarcerate,” “But we’re getting them out of our country. They’re here illegally.”

    Does DT realise that, with the help of the NRA, these 2-3 million people he plans on forcibly rounding up are now heavily armed?

    2nd amendment rights are antithetical to a fascist police state.

    Where does el culo naranja think he’s going to send all these people, just over the border? I know he thinks they’re all Mexican (the brown skin is the giveaway), but they're from all of the Americas and around the world. I’ll bet this thought has never invaded his racist thinking.

    The problem with this, aside from the obvious logistical problem of hunting American neighbourhoods for 3 million people, putting them in prisons or newly built camps until their deportation can be arranged, then dumping them across the borders as a new wave of refugees (you know, aside from the barbaric monstrosity that just oozed from the man's mouth) is that there are not three million undocumented immigrants with "criminal" records to jail or deport.

    It's not even close.

    The Migration Policy Institute, a nonpartisan think tank, estimates that around 820,000 undocumented immigrants have criminal records ― a figure that includes many people whose only conviction is crossing the border illegally. [...]
    [A] review by The Marshall Project of more than 300,000 recent deportations showed that the majority of deportees had no serious criminal record at all.

    So he's either vowing to deport millions with no criminal record other than being in the country without papers or he's bullsh*tin about the rest of it. We don't know. The only thing we know will happen is that Trump’s plan will further allow undocumented residents to be victimized by crime.

    If he's is relying on local forces to address this issue, I question whether this will be effective. Local police is already dealing with too much. Certainly, the State of NY, CA and even Texas aren’t going to be pushing this too hard without a Federal mandate and funds. They won’t have the bandwidth to hunt down brown folks.

    He could just deport a few thousand people and tell everybody he deported ten times more. Who's checking?

    It's not like he can deport enough people to make a noticeable difference. People won't be able to tell just by sight whether there's noticeably fewer Hispanics in America, whether he deports half a million or 5 million people.

    Believe it when we see it, but deporting some will be a step in the right direction. We have over a million illegals in the UK :rolleyes:

    Idk how doable it is logistically to deport 3 million but he should be able to deport more than Obama did relatively easily.

    Ok so with these two bolded points... where's the bad thing?
