Anyone currently taking a gap year and applying for medicine 2017 entry? Watch

    • Thread Starter

    Hi everyone

I decided not to apply for medicine when I was in year 13 as I did badly at AS (Biology: B, Chemistry: C, Physics: C and English Literature: A), but after retaking Chemistry AS I managed to get three As.

I'm now taking a gap year and I'm applying to study medicine at Exeter and Plymouth. During my gap year I'm working part time to save money for university; as well as devoting more time to my hobbies.

I'm wondering if anyone else is currently taking a gap year and applying for medicine this year?
If you are, why did you decide to take a gap year? What are you doing on your gap year? Where are you applying?

How are you feeling about your GCSE results?
