Hmmm, ok I need to feed the dog at around 6am, do you think I should stay awake until then and then go to bed afterwards, or go to bed soon and wake up a 6, but risk the chance of not waking up until it's too late and shes crapped everywhere? I have no alarm.

Do you have a phone with an alarm or anything at all? (you probably thought of that but I'm just checking!)

What do you usually do?

How tired are you?

Do you have stuff to do until 6am?

*edit*

leave a can opener, and the tin of dog food on the doorstep. then write a note for the milkman to open this tin of dog food and put it through ur letter box.

this will work if ur milkman has a sense of humour. mine does, and he did it. i admit it was not my house i did it to though....

Can't you just feed the dog now?
She only gets fed once a day, it might ruin her usual eating cycle, i would if it wouldn't come of any harm to her though....

The last time i saw him i said, "alright Vic!" and made a clicking noise, and he didn't seem happy, so he doesn't have one, no.

Train the dog to open the can himself.
Tess is a she, and she doesn't even know 'sit' - let alone 'open can'.
