Second degree

Hi,

Im looking at applying for a second degree in sept 2017 in paramedic science.

I wondered what, if any financial help would be available to me.

I understand that NHS bursaries are being reviewed and it maybe unlikely they would be available.

I have also seen that there maybe financial loans for second degrees depending on the degree to be undertaken (exceptions to the ELQ rule, which may include NHS style degrees). Please would you be able to expain this to me?

Hi Heidi

The paramedic courses may be eligible to receive funding from the Ambulance Service Trust.
Students who receive this funding may also be eligible for funding from Student Finance England. However, each Ambulance Trust has discretion over the funding they award. Please note these are not classed as the same as the NHS courses and if you already hold a degree, we would not be able to offer funding. I would advise you to speak with the course provider also.
