I am in the process of applying for a UK Student Visa. The official documents I received so far are:

    - UCAS AS12 Confirmation Letter
    - University offer of accommodation letter
    - University welcome pack

According to the UK Visa website, it states that I need Acceptance letter from UK University/College/School. And it should include details of the course, any conditions attached to the offer, duration and fees + any fees/deposits paid to date.

I have called UCAS Customer Services and they've told me that the AS12 should really be the only official letter that acts as a proof of acceptant at the university.

I've been trying to contact the Visa Application Call centre but their lines has been extremely busy. Should I just submit the AS12 letter as my proof of acceptance or contact the university to issue me with a letter that conforms with the UK Visa application supporting document requirement? Any suggestion/experience to share?

    Thanks in advance

I would call Loughborough and have them prepeare a letter, and they are bound to know what is needed specifically for a UK visa application from your location, Original documents are certainly needed in canada, and in my case, it's a "certificate of acceptance" issued by LSE which states all those specific things you mentioned (1st year fees etc). You've trawled the UK gov websites? All else fails send the AS12 slip and anything else in your pack that states conditions of your offer, fees etc that you can photocopy. Worst case scenario, consulate will hold your application until additional material is sent to them. Different countries' consulates have different specs for the student visa e.g. some take photocopies, others don't

I'd contact the uni and get an official letter personally. I know we send out loads of them every year and help loads of applicants sort out their visas.

UCAS on the other hand have nothing to do with applicants once they've sent out the AS12...I wouldn't trust their word on visas.
