I think the deadline would be around November some time. You could phone up your exam board and ask for a list of private exam centres near you, then get in touch with them, but it'll be very expensive...

theres a list of centres which accept private entries on some exam board websites. AQA have them anyway (search the site using the site function).

You then contact the centre which is most convenient and get in touch with them about entering you.

I've heard some centres may only charge you £35-40 per exam - some charge a lot lot more.

Externally means outside of college right?

    Anyway, can someone help me?
If my college lets me resit my AS modules in psychology, will I resit in January or May/June? Also, can I tell my psychology teacher to not put me in for a psychology exam for A2 in January or is it entirely his choice? I'd rather I did all my A2 exams in May/June period if you know what I mean.

How much do resits cost? Around £15 - £20?

    Externally will mean another institution.

The time you resit depends on if that institution will be running the exams in that period. In terms of A2 exams, you normally have to follow the school/colleges structure - and that would be to sit with the rest of the group in January.

I would prefer to have at least 1 exam out of the way by june... otherwise you'll be totally stressed in June. The A2 in January is a good idea (gives you chance to resit it if you flop!)

The resits are approx £15-20 but may be more... depends what your school/college policy is for resits ie will they charge an admin fee?

If you do this make sure you inform your main college in plenty of time - AFAIK there's a fair bit of admin work needs doing to amalgamate the results from the two colleges and otherwise you could get to A2 results day and find you don't have a full A level as the January results from the other college haven't been built in.

I want to do this too as I've just left me sixthform to work for a year (just done my AS's) but I've just found out you have to decline your grades or something, does anybody know how you go about doing this??

contact the exam officer at your sixth form - they may already have cashed your grades in.

Although, if you only on a gap year, and will be coming back to A2's after a year, i'm sure cashing your grades in won't matter. You just pick up where you left after the year out

Just get in touch with the exams officer anyway.
