When I say manufactured, I don't mean the band, I mean the CD, but in some cases you can say both.

Michael Jackson - best video of all time - thriller
Queen - Greatest hits album has been in the chart for yonks - also Bohemium Rhapsody is the 3rd biggest selling song of all time behind 2 charity records! It spent 14 weeks total at number 1.
Abba - £1bn was offered for them to rejoin - that's talent!
Europe - The final countdown is wicked
Meatloaf - biggest power ballad of all time

    compared to

    Westlife - too many covers
Busted - spark is fizzing out
McFly - too similar to busted and stop the beach boys immitation!
    V - who?
Blue - same old stuff everytime

I know who I'd rather listen to. Oldies are the best. Who agrees?

That's a lie. The best guitarists in the world made it big in the 80's.

Some of the very best music ever made came from the 80s (New Order, the Smiths, the Cure) but also some of the very worst (Bon Jovi, Europe, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Meat Loaf, the list goes on...)

God knows, it was at the local Welfare club, and they have their own DJ. It's like going back in time, going to parties there... They did play Parklife though.

Id rather have Europe-Final Countdown than Busted regardless of the age even though they are better tunes than them both. I know its hardly a birthday song but November Rain by Guns'n'roses is a sheer musical genius

Serious Narb - hopefully not being serious

Unbelievably, The Final Countdown apparently made VH1's "Worst no.1s in the last 15 years", maybe they got so bored compiling their lists they messed up somehow
