    I dont know why high milage cars bother people.
    New cars with high milages tend to be motorway ****s. As such, there is minimal wear on steering components. Engines are built to last these days so should not be worn out.

    They may need suspension bushes replacing and tyres all round but thats not a bad thing. Nor is it especially expensive.

    The petrol engines would be much more worthwhile in the Lupo, think the diesel takes nearly 20 seconds to get from 0-60 IIRC, which will be noticeably slower than the majority of other cars on the road, maybe with the exception of a few 1ltr models... The Polo is a bit bigger and it's been around longer so there should be plenty in your price range, but then you can ignore the Seat Ibiza which is still VAG, better value for money, and had TDi engines early on too.
