What higher level subject do medic unis tend to prefer?
Business & Management
I was thinking of doing HL Maths but then I thought over it again and decided that I shouldn't because I think I will very likely get like a 1 or 2 from it.. (after what some of the year 13s told about a girl from their form got a 1 or 2 in HL but switched to SL and got 7s). Yet, Maths is quite a respected subject.
Psychology, I want to take it because it directly/indirectly relates to medicine.
So what do you think would be more useful to increase my chances of getting in a Medic uni? HL Math, B&M or Psychology?
Can anyone also provide me more info about Psy? Thanks.

i know that 90% of uk universities want chemistry hl..so i would recomend u take that...also lots of them prefer you have biology....and then of course the really pushy ones want either physics or math hl too....
but i know people who have only taken chem hl and entered...but in my opinion chem hl is a must

I am assuming that you're considering your third HL subject? If so, then provided that you have Chemistry and Biology HL (although one of them at SL is possible but it makes the options fewer), it doesn't matter that much. Generally, I always thought that Math is prefered because it is a useful subject with sciences and you must have math at least to SL. However, I don't think your application will be disadvantaged if you choose another as long as you have SL Math. Don't quote me on it though. It's better to contact the university to be certain.
As for Psychology - It is fun and interesting! You do four perspectives, one of them being biological so you will gain a lot of knowledge on that department. You also do methods and options (2 of HL) You only have one internal (phew) and it is actually fun since it's about an experiment
