Five dimensional political compass quiz

Just discovered this: http://www.abtirsi.com/quiz2.php

It's pretty interesting and shows how simple left/right distinctions are no longer (if they ever were) adequate to explain political view points. I'd be interested to see some of TSRs grandees results

(Kudos to Foo.mp3)

That political compass has more dimensions than space-time :O

Socialist Anti-Government World-Federalist Bleeding-Heart Libertine  (I shall put that on my grave stone). So... I am the exact opposite of a fascist

Collectivism score: 67%
Authoritarianism score: -33%
Internationalism score: 83%
Tribalism score: -100%
Liberalism score: 100%

Explanation key:

Collectivism refers economic intervention, whether the society or state should intervene in the economy to redistribute wealth from the more to the less successful. The negative percentages indicate opposition to such intervention.

Authoritarianism refers to state power to control the actions of individuals to prevent them from harming others or themselves, and also to establish the will of the majority over society. Negative percentages indicate opposition to state power.

Internationalism refers to political involvement in other nations or global affairs, either via war, treaty or international organizations. Negative percentages indicate isolationist beliefs, and the belief in national sovereignty.

Tribalism refers to identity or nationalism, favoring your own nation over foreigners. Negative percentages indicate opposition to national or ethnic identity and oriented towards pan-humanism.

Liberalism refers to acceptance of historically illegal or immoral social practices or customs. Negative percentages indicate opposition to such acceptance."

Some of the questions are hard to answer. Take for example do you think moral decay will bring down civilisation. I wanted to answer yes or maybe because I think elites morally justifying neoliberal policies and the "greed is good" religion are tghreat to civilisation. As could be global warming etc who so many of our rulers do not give a **** about.

But I somehow don't think that is what the questions means... I took it as the right wing moralising around "traditional" values etc. So I said no.

Also what if you have libertarian socialist tendencies? I'm not keen on the government but I recognise it as being a part of society that has democratic potential as apposed to private tyrannies. I think there are areas where statist government regulation is better than private control and vice versa. Problem with these questionnaires is you have to second guess what the question is referring to.

Well, that's quite a thing, isn't it? I'm probably in a particularly liberalist mindset tonight though.
I had to leave question 5 blank (Euthanasia, abortion and suicide should all be legal). It's unfortunate that they decided to bunk all of these issues into a single question.

My scores were:

Authoritarianism score: -33%
Internationalism score: 33%
Tribalism score: -17%

Little surprised to be honest.
