hey i use contact lenses every day.

and was wondering how much do acuvue dalies cost per year/month? and is it better if i get the two week lenses.

are the dailes better than the two week lenses?

Short answer: depends on a number of factors.

Very long answer:
From Specsavers, standard monthly lenses (the ones you resuse every day for a month) are about £8 a month.
The ones you leave in 24/7 for a month are around £15.
I think dailies are also around £15 a month.

If you have an astigmatism (eye condition), you'll have to have toric lenses which cost slightly more.

Depends what you want lenses to do for you. If you want to wear them every day you're probably better off with monthlies or 24/7s.
If you're on the move a lot or only want to wear lenses occasionally, dailies are probably better for you as you throw them away at the end of each day, and don't have to worry about cases, solutions and suchlike.

Go to Specsavers....they're the cheapest!

Not sure how much they cost... but if your the sort of person who's eyes get quite dry then dailys would probably be better. I have an astigmatism but didnt get on with the toric lenses at all.... and now I wear contact lenses that you can sleep in and you can just put them in and leave them for a month!

I think monthlies are supposed to be better for your eyes than dailies in general - not sure why though.

Yeah but if they rip, or you lose them (...and it has happened) - you are basically screwed.

Not if you're with a direct debit scheme at specsavers... you can go in and they give you a spare pair if you lose/rip them :biggrin:

I have monthlies with Specsavers and I'm always losing/ripping my contacts, and they have no problem replacing them more than once :].

I'v had year long lenses :O,monthly and daily..........And daily are the most comfortable.
I found that the monthly's became uncomfortable towards the end of their duration.
