How do I go about getting a new NHS dentist when I move to a new city?

I'm moving over 250 miles away to go to uni so think I will need a new one...

Who do I need to apply to??

    Thanks

    Dan

You find an NHS dentist in the area and you apply to be added to their list. be prepared for a long wait.
    Better to go private then?

Ah I just did this the other day!

    The sites to search are:
    http://www.bda-findadentist.org.uk/
    http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/find/results/

The nhs direct one doesnt tell you though whether they take nhs or not but the bda one does....

Good luck its not actually as hard as its made out to be getting an nhs dentist

Not necessarily, I called up a surgery the other day and got an appointment with an nhs dentist for next Tuesday. I'm not sure if its just because I was still on their file though... though I hadnt actually been for about 4 years
