Hey, just curious to know whether anyone else thought they'd done really well in the module to find out they got a low A in the end. I got 74/90, but was pretty confident i would have at least 81 +

    Anyone else?

not for me. I did better then expected (86/90) but then i always find HH+D highly unpredictable as u never know whats on the mark schemes.

I got 88/90, which is quite good. Last year though I got 65/90 (B); when I got my script back, I had failed to complete points in enough detail and I had completely mistaken one question. HHD is quite unpredictable.

This is the most annoying module in AS.

    I got 67/90 which is a B grade.

yeah HHD is a lot to do with exam technique as well. You may well have the answers right but unfortunately you could have missed out mentioning the right keywords.

yeah I mean if you have that feeling leaving an exam and you still get a lowish A then I would certainly get a photocopy because the grade boundary suggests that even if you dropped 6 marks, you would have still got 90/90. Its useful also to see where you went wrong and improve on that the next time or, indeed, get a remark.

Thanks for the rep btw lol

A lot of the hardcore scientists in my group struggled immensely with this paper for that very reason. The more astute "English language" type students did really well. You still did excellently, but if you're unhappy with it TA get it checked out.

For the thread: I got 77 and I'm pretty happy, I found it hard to match the mark schemes criteria.
