Hi Guys and Gals,

I'm looking to start a Music Production course and I have looked at ACM and Point Blank Music School so far and I just wanted to know which one is better. I would prefer to go to a Uni like these that are specialised and don't have a big campus, etc. I just really need some guidance as to which one is more popular/well known within the Music Industry and if there are any other Uni's like these that you could also recommend.

Cheers

Hi Charlie.J,

Both of the institutions you mention above are very creditable and well-known.

I would like to recommend and introduce you to Echo Factory.

Echo Factory is a music school situated in the heart of Leicester's Cultural Quarter. We offer degrees in BMus(Hons) Contemporary Music Performance (COURSE CODE: W315) and BA (Hons) Music Business (COURSE CODE: W375).

If you are looking for a Music Production focus, then I would say check out our Music Business Degree. Although both courses integrate music production, studio time and digital technologies, if you do not see yourself as a performing musician then the Business course would be more for you.

We encourage students to explore aspects of how music works globally and within commercial and social enterprise sectors.
Our teaching embraces practical engagement with the creative and cultural sectors and opportunities for placement, project work and tutor supported business planning are a feature of the programme.

Students benefit from working alongside practising musicians and in a professional studio: studies are augmented with lively and constant engagement within the Cultural Quarter of Leicester. Check out our Music Production page for further details:

Find more info on our website here: www.echofactory.co.uk

What makes our courses so unique is that it focuses on giving students real life experience to prepare them for entering the music industry.

You will also have access to our live venue to hold gigs whenever you want.

Therefore, by the time you graduate with us, you will have become a music student with more experience outside of just writing music essays.

If you require any more information, please don't hesitate to email us at [email protected]

Really? Do you want to rephrase that so that it isn't an obvious breach of Competition and Markets Authority guidance?
