We'll have tea & cakes in the reception lobby on the 30th 2-5pm so people moving in (and their families) can get some refreshments. It's usually well attended both by new residents and by those who moved in earlier, so there will be a chance to meet people right from day one

it should say on the email when you should reply by latest. mine was on the 11th. i paid for the £265, let your parents/family pay for it then pay them back later

The offer letter says you have 21 days from the date of the letter. The date usually says "see postmark or email datestamp", so in your case that would be 21 days from the date of the email (the date it was sent, not the date you received it).

If you're having problems, phone the Bursar's Office and let them know. They're all nice people and they will try to hep if they can!
i am i am! soulful_lil_fairy- i'm moving in quite late too (haven't decided when yet, proabably around teh 25th- my uni doesn't start til 1st oct)
I definitely like the sound of tea and cakes! I'll be there for sure.

I was just wondering... Do you pay for the food in the dining halls? or do they allocate you an amount on a daily basis?

The food is included in your accommodation fees. You don't pay anything extra when you eat in the dining hall. There are two meals a day: breakfast & dinner Mon-Fri, brunch & dinner Sat - Sun. In total, about £2.70 per day of each person's hall fees goes towards the catering budget.
