I have just got an email from track saying it had been updated so I logged into check and it says on the welcome page:

The current status of your Application is:

Congratulations! Your place at The Manchester Metropolitan University (M40) to study Law (Foundation) (M101) has been confirmed during Extra.

Your Clearing Number for correspondence with the Institutions is ******

From 09 July 2007, if you have not obtained a place at any of your choices, you can look for courses with vacancies in Clearing. Please click on HELP above for information about Clearing.
and on the offers page it says:

    You are in Clearing
Your Clearing Number for correspondence with the Institutions is ******
But in my extra section it says my offer is unconditional.

Whats going on? Why am I in clearing if I have a place? Why do I need a clearing number if I have a place? None of this was on it on Thursday when I last checked track.

I think it's because you got your place through extra. Maybe all extra people have the clearing number as well as the offer message. Don't worry. I'm pretty sure you have the place at Manchester. Have you rung and checked? Good luck. xxx
