Structure: Golgi is made up of stacks of flattened membrane sacs or cisternae. (It looks a bit like a maze)

Function: to process and bundle macromolecules (like proteins and lipids) as they are synthesised within the cell. (For example: it processes proteins for secretions, as it contains a set of enzymes that attach various sugar monomers to proteins as proteins move out of it)
