Parkwood- Lypeatt Court

Hey, i applied to tyler court n parkwood en suite pretty early but like many other people i got turned down but offered a parkwood house in lypeatt which is alright i gues at least i will be saving a grand..so anyone who has also been offered accomd in lypeatt you can introduce yourself here as we will be neighbours! Also anyone who has lived there before or knows what its like i would like an idea thanks! Btw im in 18/E so i assume the house number is 18 and my room is E..woo im upstairs LOL

Althougth you dont have ensuite you do actually have a basin in your room so its not all that bad and there is a bathroom with a shower on your floor. Also lypeatt and purchas are the superior accommodation in prk wood bar the new ensuite buildings.

Ooooooo i'm in Lypeatt too (how on earth do u pronounce it - its been confusing me for days....is it like Lipe at (rhyming with ripe) or lippieatt or what?!) - however i am 12/D - altho i am very happy to hear we have sinks in r rooms n everything :smile:

I'm 28D, soooooooo excited! I was wondering how to pronounce it too..... if any current students know could they type it phonetically? I don't want to embarrass myself in freshers' week! :P

BTW DENIED advises Lypeatt is pronounced 'Lippit'.

Also - for Parkwood it is NOT advisable to arrive before 12 midday on the 15th as the rooms will still be being cleaned.

Internet connection is good! It's the best internet hub in the whole of Kent.

Nah just move in, you have a perfect right to! Sit on the bed and chat to the cleaners if they're not done, they're usually friendly enough.

Haha, that would be a good idea if my sister weren't coming with me. I understand the rooms aren't terribly spacious, and between the two of us we'd probably get in her way. I guess we can just sit in the kitchen until she's finished.

On a side note, do you know where we have to go to collect our keys? I looked it up online and it said we can find the point on the campus map (I think it was PH or something like that), but I didn't see anything. :confused:

you need to go to the park wood reception to get your keys. its the main building in parkwood that isnt accommodation, its connected to woody's bar. just go there with your accomodation comfirmation that was e-mailed to you and show them that and they'll issue you with your keys.
