Mise En Scene in WALL-E

Hi there. For one of my modules in Uni, we have to analyse 1 identifiable film theory from 1 film. I decided to go with the formalist theory and I want to analyse the film WALL-E.

Now my course is 3D Computer Animation but one of our modules requires us to understand film theories and honestly I'm quite bad an analysing but I just wanted to check a few things with the media experts here.

Right so one of my sections from the formalist theory is that Im having to analyse mise-en-scene. In the opening scenes of WALL-E, we see this:

Heres what ive written down for this but simplified (since I dont want plagurism checkers to screw me):

Carrying on, I went further into the opening scene which showed the next part of the setting:

I then explained how we can start to understand why the earth was such a mucky yellow colour. And already, we have established the set.

Then finally I moved onto the last setting:

And here I explained the first thing we see are buildings. What do we associate buildings with? People and businesses. We could say that maybe these businesses are responceable for why the earth has become so un-natural in colour.

Right so is what Ive done explained the mise en scene? I then explain cinematography in the next part of my powerpoint presentation (if you didnt already realise it was) and I explain stuff like camera angles and so on.

I would really appriciate any help or feedback given, thanks ^^
