I got 3 D's:frown:, and all of them were higher paper. Does that mean its fail? Please reply ASAP

No, they are still respected as grades but they won't help you to get in college meaning 3 less 5 A*-C's
well it isnt a fail, however looked upon as a 'poor' grade, most employers look for A*'s-C's
No, a D is a pass. It's not a good pass, but it's a pass.

depends on the subject

No, 'D' is 'D'; although I would've thought that depressing enough by itself.
Reply 6
Its a pass nowadays, but it shouldn't be.

I know of a couple :s-smilie: Depends what course you want to do.
I think with science a DD is reasonable and means you dont have to retake if you go into sixthform.

??? Anyone:rolleyes:
i dont have to re sit, i just really want too, however i doubt it will !:frown:
Technically, yes. Culturally, no.

C is a de facto pass.

But grades are what you make of them.

You know the sky news video
At the end when that girl gets A*-C grades
Did see the girl's face that was before her, she looked a real green-eyed monster
Well, technicall it is a pass, in the same way that a G is a pass. In the real world though, it's pretty much a fail to be honest, in that unis and colleges tend to ask for C+ grades.

it's a pass...it's not looked upon as a pass...but it IS a pass and that's all that matters

Don't you mean vice-versa?

Technically yes it is a pass, but it doesn't fit into the category of A*-C in which most people do wish to look for.

If it is in core subjects like English, Mathematics or Science, I would advise you to repeat them in your soon to be college as most universities do want these passed at A*-C

I think I do

G isn't a pass. F and below are fails (at least for CIE IGCSEs)
