leaving boyfriend for uni

Here goes: I was supposed to have a summer fling. Didn't work out that way, I ended up completely smitten with the fellow in question and though I've longed to go to Aber for 2 years, I'll be happy to be there but heartbroken to be away from him. I'm from California, so it wouldn't be as if I could pop home every weekend for a visit. We're going to see other people, it's not as though I have decided to completely hide away from the male of the species, but I can't see myself having anything serious. Gah! I want to enjoy my time at aber! Any advice/comfort would be appreciated.

I'm sorry. All I can say is that you shouldn't worry about what may happen. Once you start at uni, pretty much everything about you changes.

Plus there are lots of blokes at uni. Smoething to look forward too.

I'm in kinda the same problem- summer fling turned into much more! Although home isn't as far away as California! But I know what you mean. I think it'll just have to be take it as it comes, see what happens.

Thanks yallz. We're definitely going to see each other over winter break, and then I suppose we'll take it from there.

Theres always alot of leavin going on right before uni. Because at the end of the day, people do change alot at uni and most relationships that try to stick together at different unis fall apart (taken from a poll done on here about a year ago)
