Nice.
I left that booklet thing at my dad's so I haven't looked at any info about it yet. I'll have to get it back sometime so I can check it out. I looked online and the brief information the website gave sounded good.

Don't any of you find it the slightest bit depressing that you'll wake up to find the university looming in front of you???

Not really.
We'll be able to stay in bed for longer than you and we won't have to spend any money on transpot to and from uni like some people will.
If it's raining, oh dear, you'll get soaked. Not us though; we can just make a quick dash accross and we're inside. If it's boiling hot, we won't turn up to uni nackered and dripping with sweat; we can just sonter in comfortably. We don't have to carry things very far either.
I think we can steal wifi fom the uni too.

I was in Arthur Tattersall last year. It was pretty good. Most of the flats have recently been refurbished so they're in a pretty good condition. My flat was pretty rubbish, facilities-wise. Especially the kitchen. We had mice, cockroaches and ants at different points during the year. The ovens were incredibly disgusting on the inside. Our table was broken. We had low 'comfy' chairs in the kitchen, which you had to kneel on to reach the table. Our microwave broke - they wouldn't give us a new one. The lock on one of the bathroom doors got stuck while someone was inside and we had to break the door down - they wouldn't fix the door. Grr.

Most of the flats have none of these problems though. It was still good fun though. As long as you're with good people, you soon forget about the crap surroundings. 2 minute walk to lectures is awesome as well.

I didn't. Mainly because I was in the basement and so couldn't actually see the university through my window, despite it being about 20 metres away.

If you ask nicely I might be able to trawl through facebook and find some pictures...

See I don't mind the crappiness. I'd just try to see the funny side. For me, it's more about who you live with rather than where (the fact that I'll be staying mere metres away from the uni is just a juicy bonus).

Pictures pwetty pwease...

EDIT: Woah, posted before my polite request. Ta.

It was pretty funny after a while. It turns out that if you put a cockroach in water and then put it in a freezer, it doesn't survive (any animal activists out there: this was after much provocation from the little buggers):
