If Loughborough was your insurance have you sorted accommodation?

hiya
Loughborough was my insurance choice and i registered my interest for accommodation by email as soon as my place was confirmed . I've also tried calling but i'm getting nowhere.....was wondering if anyone else was in this situation or if anyone knows what i should do now??

Insurance and Clearing students do not have the opportunity to apply in advance for halls accommodation, please advise the accommodation office if you require accommodation in hall once your place at Loughborough has been confirmed. We will contact you in September regarding the accommodation options available.

I'm in the exact same position, for now I'm just going to wait for a bit i think, as they must be pretty busy right now.

Just make sure that the accommodation office knows that you need accommodation and that you want to go into halls, and they'll sort somewhere for you to live temporarily until a room becomes free in halls (about 2 weeks).
If you can't get through by phone, then try visiting them in person by coming to the uni - they tend to pay a bit more attention to you then :wink:

I didn't get into halls last year, so they organized a house hunting day where we went down and looked around a few houses, reserved a room in one and it all turned out OK, I would have preferred halls though.
They said there was no way there would be rooms in halls, even a few weeks in after some have dropped out, but that was a lie, after about 3 -4 weeks there were rooms in halls being advertised, so if you can find somewhere temporary to live for a month or so, you will get into halls.

Haha! Didn't realised I posted on here enough to be known, love it!

Montrose is right: I'm going into second year (one of the other girls is going into first year [post art foundation] though!) and I'm still going to party hard Loughborough style!! Coming directly from Thailand just for Freshers!!

Montrose, really must get to know you a bit better after that compliment of being noticed on TSR! :smile:
