Why not a huge outpouring of public grief in Cuba after Castros death?

When Kim Jong Il died in North Korea there was massive hysteria and public grief, people collapsed in tears in public, some on their hands and knees screaming at the news. They had lost their father, guardian and guide in life and didn't know where to go.

But the great leader of Cuba dies and we don't see so much public upset. Why not? Is the Cuban people not in mourning?
Castro has been a great father and guide for Cuba too.
North Korea was to a far greater extent a religious cult. Kim Il-Sung died in 1994, and yet despite that, he still holds the position of president. Kim Jong-Il's birth is mythologised to the extent that he appears to be a religious symbol like Jesus. The heavens were reportedly full of birds descending to celebrate the coming of Kim Jong-Il. The leaders are essentially deified.

There is also the issue that in North Korea that state controls everything. How you dress, what haircut you have, and when you should cry. There often isn't a choice, and when a leader dies, compulsory mourning is forced upon the people,
