Write a balanced equation for the reaction of chlorine water with sodium iodide solution.
Can someone please help me with this reaction as i found this really confusing
The halide displacement reaction basically means that more reactive halogens (i.e. chlorine) will displace less reactive halogens (i.e. iodine) due to reactivity and electronegativity. The ones at the top of Group 7 (F, Cl) will displace ones lower down (I, Br).

I don't think I'm allowed to give you the answer straight up on this forum, but I hope it helps.

Chlorine water may just be referring to aqueous Chlorine. (Cl(aq))

Chlorine Water...? You mean HClO ?
Yes i think that is the formula of chlorine water
